Yes, the right kind of action that makes them money. I don't comprehend how you think a "brand name" sways their opening line.

A couple weeks ago the Green Bay Packers opened as a 1-point favorite on the road against the Detroit Lions.

A game they had no business being favored in. But the public continuously backs Green Bay from week to week because of their offense and Aaron Rodgers and the winning brand they've created over the past 5 or 6 seasons.

Lines open and move all the time based on what the public and sharps bet, depending on the amount of money coming in on each side. The public bets the big name teams who score points and are historically good. On games when the sharps are somewhat split, public bets drive the line in either direction, and they can drive how the lines open as well.

it happens. Georgia and Auburn are both big names and both have good teams this year. Georgia is at home. They'll be favored.
