The top 5 seeds would be the power five conference champions seeded by a BCS type formula. The next three would be wildcards from any conference.

The top 4 seeds would have first round home games, the final four would follow the same current format.

Based on how the season could finish out:

hypothetical of course

1. Mississippi State
2. Florida State
3. Oregon
4. Michigan State
5. Kansas State
6. Ole Miss
7. Alabama
8. Notre Dame

8 Notre Dame at 1 Mississippi State
7 Alabama at 2 Florida State
6 Ole Miss at 3 Oregon
5 Kansas State at 4 Michigan State
