in college football this weekend with the average ticket going for nearly a quarter G on the secondary market.

Ole Money

Hope Bjork reconsiders the VHS stadium expansion plan given the outrageous increase in demand for home football tickets.

If we're gonna spend hundreds of millions on an expansion we need to expand the stadium by more than 3,500 seats IMNSHO

That stadium looks badass.

Someone with a twitter account should do the @askross thing to reconsider this plan with the new demand, and I'm sure, inevitable increase in donations. The other stadium designs they published looked terrible compared to this

The night pic of the stadium expansion you posted gave me goosebumps.

That stadium looks elite.

OM is churning out so many more alumni, per year, than they were ten years ago.

We need to do this thing right, for the future. We moved up to 60k when the school was 2/3 the size it is now. The demand will be there. You can already see it when you go to games. It has been more full the last few years than I can ever remember, and that is with all the new parking BS making everything a clusterfrick.

The need for 70k is coming... Sooner than later.

Do any of y'all think they are screwing up if they go through with the other stadium design?

I don't agree with most on this issue. I think the 3500 additional seats is just about right.

You want the ticket to be in high demand like it is now. Especially with no sign of the economy recovering.

The photos look amazing for that original design. I just think you take baby steps with it. The bowl in with the option to add on in the future.

They're not screwing it up going with the current design they're just delaying the inevitable of us having to go to 70k and as fast as the university is growing we're going to need 70k stadium not very long after we finish the current expansion.

keep with the current plan and they should build the stadium with the capability to add more if needed.

Financially, its a bad decision to build it in two stages. Completing the project at once saves money on materials, labor, and avoids inflation. We can meet the demand too.

Lots of out of state alumni would like to be able to get tickets to games within a reasonable price range.

Right now Ole Miss tix are going for what Broncos Niners tix are going for here in Denver. That's an indicator that we need a much bigger stadium.

We can fill 70k as long as we stay skrong.

This is exactly what I thought as well.

Also, from what I saw, the design they refer to now will not allow for it to be bowled in like in the pictures above. But I could be entirely wrong, and probably am.
