Barrett Jones could have picked him up like a rag doll and body slammed him in front of God and the whole world, and most people probably wouldn't have blamed him.
I would have. NEVER argue with the QB. He has the right call, you don't. Same as the "customer is always right" philosophy. If I'm the coach in that situation and it isn't the end of his last game, Jones heads right to the bench and stays there for a while. Same if AJ had been the Center and Jones had been the QB in that situation.

What kind of leadership would that demonstrate?
What AJ did on that play was the perfect leadership. He didn't say "Oh look buddy here is what the problem was, we cool?"
He yelled at him. He showed him up in front of the nation. We need someone willing to do that out there. JMO, but in typical ABDIW fashion, probably won't even read this thread again.

You don't get it. It's about leadership, and there's one fundamental principle: If the other guys aren't following, you aren't leading. The fact that Jones reacted the way he did is indicative of that. What you saw out of McCarron there was bullshite. Doesn't matter if he was right. Maybe that's part of why Williams indicated that, when questioned about McCarron's leadership, referenced his ability to be one way with the media but different with the team.

If McCarron's leadership had been perfect, the incident never would have happened. Jones would have never dared to do what he did.
