AJ is a grown man and certainly entitled to express his opinion. But as far as leadership goes, as others have indicated he has a lot to learn. Barrett Jones could have picked him up like a rag doll and body slammed him in front of God and the whole world, and most people probably wouldn't have blamed him. What kind of leadership would that demonstrate? Lying flat on your back as the whole world laughs and the entire Notre Dame team thanks you for somehow managing to provide a more embarrassing moment than their performance.

I would have. NEVER argue with the QB. He has the right call, you don't. Same as the "customer is always right" philosophy. If I'm the coach in that situation and it isn't the end of his last game, Jones heads right to the bench and stays there for a while. Same if AJ had been the Center and Jones had been the QB in that situation.

What AJ did on that play was the perfect leadership. He didn't say "Oh look buddy here is what the problem was, we cool?"
He yelled at him. He showed him up in front of the nation. We need someone willing to do that out there. JMO, but in typical ABDIW fashion, probably won't even read this thread again.
