Here is the transcript:

Heffner transcript from the Finebaum show talking about Spurrier:

PF: Considering his legandary status among college football coaches, you being one of the major players in that market. What's it like to deal with Steve Spurrier?

TH: Well, Steve, ya know Steve uhm, is interesting to deal with. He does not have a great uhm... he almost has a disdain sometimes for aaahh.. members of the media. He likes the media as long as they are on his side. As long as they are kind of, uhm, well you know, you know Steve, as long as they are towing the company line so to speak, he, ah, he likes the media but once they start questioning him or getting outside of the company line, so to speak, he's not quite as fond of the media. But one thing about Steve Spurrier is, he's never dull and you never know what's coming next.

PF: You know, you say that and I fail to note that he's had this feud for this writer in the local paper in Columbia for going on a couple of years now. I don't even know where that is, but he can be pretty petty. I think that's what you're trying to say.

TH: That's exactly what I'm trying to say. I think every stop he's been in, he's tried to get some writer fired, and the truth of the matter is, and I've told him before is Why do you worry about that, you own the city,. Just go coach football and don't worry about the media. But I think he does get kinda concerned, even too much at times about what the media is saying or what the media is writing.

PF: Well he attacked me Saturday night and I go the game right. I mean, you can't win with this guy can you?

TH: I thought he was just having a little fun with it.

PF: Well you were there and I wasn't. I'm sure he was and I like Spurrier very much and that is well documented but I have found his feud with Larry Guess in Orlando... they were mortal enemies, and who is it, Ron Morris in Columbia to be beneath him but he has continued to rage these wars as best I can tell.

TH: Well Paul, I'm not one of his favorites either. I can tell you that as well. If I was in his postion, maybe I would feel the same way as well ,but you know how it is these day is age. Everybody wants to control the media. it's not like when we first go into the busines that you have
( junk junk yada yada.) Steve Spurrier gets a list of interview requests and he has to approve every interview request and I would think Steve Spurrier would more to worry about but he's one of the most successful coaches in college football, so he's not about to change now.

PF:Thanks Teddy, really glad to have you. Teddy Heffner covers the Gamecocks for 40 years calling Steve Spurrier a control freak and I would agree with him on this.

Teddy Heffner used to work for The State Newspaper and covered the Gamecocks. The State Newspaper was the place Ron Morris used to be relevant at.

Spurrier getting Heffner fired, Finebaum fired, e'rybody fired.

quote:

Teddy Heffner

Reads the State newspaper to his few listeners every morning ... and calls that a radio show.

Was fired by The State for being a shitty beat writer.

Worked for what's his name Kornbloot for a year or so. Was fired for repeated bad info.

Now works for Clear Channel AM station who lost their contract with SC Sports ten years ago .... nobody listens to them anymore

Heffner lives totally off of his brother's advertising handouts and his wife.

Heffner, one of the gingerest gingers you could ever meet, has been wearing the same rug (hair piece) for forty years. It once blew off in front of everyone at a game and it was discovered that he is the ugliest bald headed ginger you've ever seem. Head like a ginger Klingon.

And he lies all the time but calls it the truth.

His station is now mostly taterhead callers, he works the wakeup shift, might have 500 listeners max.

Total pos a-hole.

Why am I not surprised that Finebaum had him on.

BTW, Spurrier doesn't like Heffner because Heffner is not a likable person. No one likes him except a handful of people who have been around him for 20-30 years.
