If I were in Saban's position, I'd keep whatever I damned well pleased in the bathroom, including a fully stocked pantry and a fridge of beer.

But the semantics of that section don't necessarily imply the snacks were in the bathroom. Since it required a new paragraph, it's probably totally separate from the preceding sentence, i.e. he admired the bathroom and also found the snack stash in a completely separate situation.
