Sims is benefitting from low expectations. Coker is suffering from high expectations. Sims has had more PT and it's more of a "what you see is what you get" situation. He has tremendous mobility and surprisingly very good pocket presence. He can step up, avoid the sack (what would be a sack with AJ or GM) and make a set throw without deferring to the run every time. Having a mobile qb who can still make that correct decision of when to run is a huge weapon. He is not very accurate, however he is very well-coached and has consistently erred on the side of the caution - putting it where either our guy gets it or no one does.

I think we can win big games with that. One of Kiffin's biggest philosophies, to me, seems to be if you keep getting your best athletes the ball quick in a one-on-one situation, they're bound to break a big play. Makes sense to me. I do think we can move the ball on anyone without added risk when you consider that is all what we're ultimately gonna ask of Sims, combined of course with our line and running game.

Since Coker is an unknown at best... And let's not kid ourselves - his first five passes or so were atrocious. At best he's a project, untapped potential. It has to be Sims.
