quote:

I want the best teams in the playoffs and if a particular conference is weak in a given season, you end up not having the best teams.
So, you are opposed to the playoff systems that the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc. have been using for decades?

I'd rather see the playoffs limited only to conference champs. Seed them #1 to #8 based on a BCS-like formula, higher seeds host the lower until the championship. Would only take three games, which even with a 12-game regular season and a conference championship, only two teams would play in as many games as the worst NFL teams play in every regular season.

I've been advocating this kind of playoff for years, maybe one day we'll get there.

Right, then like in 2005 you would have had a 7-6 Akron Mac champion, who lost to Memphis in their bowl, playing against an SEC champion in the play off.Good stuff right there.
