No. Just no.
They should just take the top 16 teams in AP ranking.
Pair them off.
Play each game at the higher seed's location until you reach the finals.
Each round everyone is paired so the higher seeds always go against the lower seeds. (ie no bracket)
The final 2 teams play at whatever bowl that year hosts the national championship.
So if the playoffs started this week round 1 would be.....
Notre Dame vs Florida State
Ole Miss vs Alabama
USC vs Oregon
Stanford vs Oklahoma
LSU vs Auburn
UCLA vs Georgia
Baylor vs Michigan State
Texas A&M vs Ohio State

Why the AP ranking?
Wouldn't using any poll for selection introduce more bias?
Isn't the whole point of a playoff to remove as much bias as possible?
People don't seem to want a fair play off system, they just want a system that gives their team the best chance to get in.
