Seems like we have to pick one. Do you want a guy who can stretch the field or the pocket? Because realistically, you can't have both.

Um...yeah...yeah you can.

Stretching the pocket only needs to happen when he has to. When pressure comes, Sims will do a great job at dodging it. He looked great yesterday.

But stretching the field is something that needs to be a consistent threat if we're gonna compete for a title. But no one is saying Sims can't do it, just that we need to see it.

Name a few. Manziel? Cam Newton? You're talking about extremely rare individuals. There are extremely few of those guys walking around. Expecting to have one from year to year isn't realistic.

I'm saying he can't do it...at least not yet. If he could do it, we would have seen it...last night, in any previous A-Day game, even in mop-up duty in past years (even GMac did that).

The fact that we haven't seen it tells me that he can't. I'm not worried about it, though, because I'm confident that this staff, with this roster, can develop game plans that will win.

The problem will be that we will have difficulty if we get into a shootout...with a team like aTm (again) that requires us to have to throw the ball all over the field. It's going to have to be on our defense to make sure that we don't get into that situation.
