Columbia in Summer is hotter than the Devil's armpit - something about that city will roast you alive. Their drivers are insane and the roads suck (that's putting it lightly about the roads). They also have some crazy interstate exits that are dangerous and confusing as frick.

However, it's ok outside of that. They have a lot of other things going for them. And the people are generally nice and helpful. Their nightlife and things to do are getting better every year.

No place on earth is hotter or more dangerous than Memphis, even if rock 'n roll was born there.

That said, I love Tennessee. If I had my life to live over, it would probably be in Jackson. One can still fish and bird hunt from there.

I can't hate A&M. Hell, about all I know about them is they lost a lot to Texas and John David Crow played there under Bear, who got the hell out as soon as he could get back to the SEC. I do know that despite millions spent that cow college has not developed a sure way to kill fire ants.

Texas Medical Center in Houston is probably the best in the world, as is the music out of Austin.

Oh, and one more thing, up until a few decades ago, some dumb arsed Texans paid to go to a school to get the hell beat out of them.

And lest not forget that T. Cullen Davis was an A&M alumnus. He shot and got away with killing children.

And, Ags, your daddy is Col. William B. Travis from Saluda, South Carolina. And it took one of Andy Jackson's--he's from South Carolina, 8 miles from me--men to teach you how to fight. Most of your "natives" were yellow, until Sam Houston taught you better.

And, prof, if the nightlife is so bad in South Carolina, how come there is so much Tennessee poon in Myrtle Beach. One told me she goes there to handle some real snakes.
