I was not the downvote haha, i actually enjoy talking football with other fanbases.

UT is on the rise

I love how UT is on the rise because they are winning in February, but we go 12-2 in actual football games against real players and teams and it is just a fluke

I just can't envision both their backups coming in and not missing a beat.

I understand the skepticism, but remember the huge hit on Murray that led to Sam's fumble recovery TD? That was Shane Ray who absolutely blew by your LT. And Golden will be drafted higher than Kony was. Already have scouts at our practices to watch mainly the DLine (this is a new experience for Mizzou)

It seemed like his numbers were average at BEST against the best teams he played, and he racked up against bottom feeders. Is that true?

Mauk was only RS Freshman last year playing in the SEC. You are right that most of his stats came against Kentucky and Tennessee but there were flashes where he showed he COULD be the best QB in the SEC this year (behind Marchall but that offense is a different story). Not saying he will be the best but you have to admit that if he was on your team and performed like he did last year you would have every reason to be optimistic

Is bama on the rise? No, they're already at the top. UT is "on the rise" because they actually show signs of improvement and potential future success, unlike what we've seen the entire Dooley tenure.
