99.9% this. I'm also engineering but it interests me and having money fricking rocks. Do you have friends around, or did the job take you away from your circle? Find a job that lets you balance paying the bills with at least a mild interest in it and having a social life. Don't limit yourself to just engineering related jobs, plenty of people will hire someone just based on the fact you busted your arse for a tough degree and can solve problems. College is honestly pretty overrated for those who actually had hard majors, the post college years while you're still young should be where it's at.
