It was bittersweet for LSU as well. Sure, we went on to win the natty and all, but that was also the last game Ryan Perriloux, that game's MVP, ever suited up for LSU. He was supposed to be next in line for the next 2 years but instead it started the Jarrett Lee/Jordan Jefferson era prematurely. Prolly another title or two lost there.

Whatever happened with Perriloux? I heard various stuff like a failed drug test but nothing ever really added up or explained the whole story of why/what happened. Seems like he had to do more than that and then once he was gone from LSU he just kinda fell of the planet.
