Thompson, then Mitch. Nosovitch relegated to TE/WR duties ...

I smell a casualty coming with Nosovitch. It appears he is done at QB.
Centers snapped the ball like dogshit tonight.
Davis still not full speed and Williams looked like he was limping.

What was the "crazy formation" we opened the 11 on 11 in? I heard that they ended up lining up more traditionally before the snap but that the formation was funky.

He still took reps at QB. He went 3 for 3 on the 7v7's.
We had several guys in yellow jerseys. Usually just a precaution. Davis has a hamstring issue that happened a few weeks ago. He may come back next week, but they may hold him until the last week of camp, which I would recommend.

Nosovitch will probably end-up transferring. He was moved even further back tonight.
Deon Green is gonna be a stud.
Abu Lammin was in a yellow jersey ... no idea why.
Our wide receivers have a chance to be very good.
I think our going DBs are going to be fine. They're raw, but they have skills.
A lot of yellow jerseys out there tonight.
Thompson and Mitch are a very solid one and two. They were giving Scarnnecia some reps tonight ... but he looked like a true freshman. Kid has an arm though, and he throws a pretty pass.

I guess it's official ... Nosovitch is gone.
Really hate to see it - kid is a football player he just couldn't get his timing down and Mitch is coming on like a gang buster.

Spurrier just said they are trying to talk Nosovitch into staying, that he's had some problems delivering the ball accurately, but that everyone has the right to make their own decisions. He said, rather than Nosovitch leaving today, he's been given the day off to think about what he really wants to do.

If Nos was going to leave, he should've done it months ago. He would've had more time to find a team and learn their plays. Everybody is in the middle of fall camp right now. If he goes, he's going to some DII school. He needs to pull the bootlegs up and try to become the starter, the grass always ain't greener on the other side. This decision mid-camp is rash and not well thought out at all.

Nos had already been passed on the depth chart by true freshman Michael Scarnecchia. I don't think he was ever going to see significant playing time at QB unless the wheels completely fell off the apple cart.
Listen to the HBC's comments on this and Joe Blue.

From what I understand it was his dad who was pressing for this ... called Spurrier and/or G.A. and said his son was recruited as a QB and should be allowed to play QB.
Nosovitch believes he can go back up north, ala Tanner McEvoy, and find a school willing to give him a shot at QB and then, if he doesn't cut it as a QB he'd be willing to move to another position.
The contention between Nosovitch and his family and our coaches is that they are claiming he was not given a fair shot to play the QB position.
At any rate, it's over, he's gone.
I gotta admit I was hearing this was already a strong possibility on Day 1 when he and Scarneccia started splitting reps with the third team. Evidently it caught Nosovitch completely off guard and he was fairly vocal about his concerns right there on the field. I saw him and G.A. having a discussion right after practice and that's when I started this thread after being told they were having a discussion about him thinking about transferring if he could not get time behind center.
Remember, he got maybe three snaps that first day and they immediately moved him to TE. Day two and three he got a couple more snaps but they still kept moving him to TE and WR.

Drama update:
And now it's been confirmed by The State at Media Day today that Nosovitch has decided he is going to stay.
It's a good idea IMHO. He'll maybe end-up doing something heroic and be remembered forever as the kid that almost left, but didn't, and good things happened.

Let's hope so. At the very least, he should be a great candidate for QB at the goalline in a Tebow-like formation.

Wouldn't that be something.
How dang awesome would that be to have that kind of weapon inside the 10 yard line.
But Tebow was a freak in terms of muscle and fearlessness.
