Not quite as well as we'd have hoped for. We went 1 for 4 on DT recruits and lost out on Solomon Thomas. One of our 3 really promising 6-5 275lbs DE's had knee surgery and will be limited in 2 a days, he was thought to be the best of the 3. Picked up a raw DE out of Miami that came on hot in the recruiting cycle. We gave a scholly in the summer to our local greyshirt DE. So not sure how our DL depth will be. Bijohn Jackson will play a lot, he's probably the strongest freshman entering the conference this year.

The other projected starter at DT, Hodge, was just featured in the viral video of Arkansas players squatting 700lbs.

Darius Philon should end the season as a 2nd team SEC player. Trey Flowers could make a push for SEC Defensive POY.

Our defense is definitely where Bielema saw that he had to make wholesale changes. Randy Shannon is the only coach left on that side of the ball. The fundamentals for our defense have been atrocious for the last few years. It's been a major source of frustration for the fanbase.
