I would think Saban's wife would definitely influence him to take a 100 million payout (if this is true), but that Texas job would not be easy, Mack Brown has turned that program to shite. One thing I will miss about Mack Brown, has to do w/ the Longhorn fanbase. They are by far the damn funniest posters on the various meltdown forums, etc. I've never laughed out loud reading any angry posts from any other fanbase other than the Texas fans. Those rants are as golden as Mack Brown's teeth.

This is actually par for the course for the University of Texas, and shame on Finebaum if he got sucked in to their propaganda.

Texas loves to boast about how they are better than anyone else and how everyone wants to come to them and how much money they have.

If there was negotiation, Saban turned it down. Since it never happened, Texas can now boast that they had $100 Million to give. Why would they do this? Becuase they want everyone to know that they have $100 Million to spend and you don't.

There is nothing more asinine than Saban rumors. If I had a dollar for every story I am told here in Louisiana from some crackpot LSU fan with some long convoluted tale about how Saban desparately wants to come back to Baton Rouge but just couldn't because of (a) some issue with his Alabama contract, or (b) its too hard to fire Miles, or (c) threats from the Tuscaloosa Mafia, or any number of other stupid excuses, I would have $100 Million to give to a football coach.
