yea, its not a bad little place. It had some trashy people but that is because we took the ferry and rented beach chairs. It was also the fourth weekend so I'm assuming these livingston parish types saved up all year to go that weekend. We just went as a day trip. The fort is cool to look at it but not much history with it.

If we go again we are going with friends that have a boat and just riding out to the north side of the island. If you take the ferry id suggest just bringing a rolling ice chest, small chairs and a umbrella and just set up on the north side instead of walking across to the south side.
