I think you're missing AC's point.
I'd rather have a freshman Webster on our roster than a Junior Calhoun.
Calhoun is good, but Webster will be, too, and we've got 3 more years of him.
Then you are ignorant as well. You don't trade 2 years of borderline greatness for the HOPE of 3 years of borderline future greatness that you have no way of knowing ever comes to fruition. We know what Calhoun is -- you have zero clue what Webster is or can be. You just summed up your fanbase's problem right there -- all about expectations for a future that never comes.
Saying you "would rather have Webster over any DB on our team" is based on literally 2 tackles and one PBU. That's the entire foundation of the position -- one impressive PBU in a game that saw a shite opposing QB damn near complete 80% of his passes. Jahmere Irvin Sills, Kivon Coman, Deontay Evans, and Tolando Cleveland are all young guys that had pretty similar games to Webster. But you don't see State fans "taking them over any DB at Ole Miss".

Nice try.
8 preseason All-SEC performers covering every level of offense and defense -- no reason that you aren't competing for a national title this year. Right?
Get back to me at the end of the year when shite is real.

You tried to convince us De'Runnya Wilson was great and did our defense sill because he had 45 yards against us last year.

Really? You're going to make this argument and then call us ignorant. How long did those guys play? Who did those guys play against? Webster will play all season, those guys...lol.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, this really did make me laugh. Calhoun + "greatness" = engie in no way being ignorant.

What expectations have Ole Miss fans had in the Freeze era that haven't come? He took a 2-10 team to 7 wins and then 8 wins in the SEC West. What expectations could we have had that have never come? Please answer this.

I could very easily say you're showing your fanbases's problem in that you're only concerned with the here and now. How very short sighted of you.

1 PBU and 2 tackles > Calhoun, Love, Cox, Hughes, Redmond, Market, Jiles, Cleveland, Irvin-Sills, Evans, etc. All from a guy that would be redshirting right beside Brandon Bryant at MSU this year.
You aren't worth arguing with on this. I've already shown in this very thread where you thought 3 months ago Derrick Jones was the best CB in the damn league. Now he's back to WR on a team that's one twisted ankle away from disaster at the CB position. All so he can go be receiver #7.

We had 8?!?!?! DAYUMMMMM. Sorry, I was too busy still looking for the unanimous Top 3 CB "greatness" of Mr. Calhoun on there.

When Ole Miss has an All-SEC player above MSU at every position unit?

How many TDs he catch week 1? What did ESPN say about him a few weeks ago? Thx. Engie obviously ahead of the curve(again).

Cleveland and Coman will play a ton and have similar stats to Webster at the end of the season. The other 2, hopefully not -- since they are 3's.

You haven't had expectations yet. No one does in the first 2 years. Now you've got 8 all-SEC preseason performers. You should be competing for Atlanta and a season-long top 10-12 team. Are you going to live up to it?

No you couldn't. I'm talking about the "here and now" -- meanwhile Brandon Bryant is redshirting -- and we've got 5 corners with 1+ year of playing experience(4 coming back next year) -- and 2 more getting their first experience this year. We'll have 6 experience corners next year when Bryant begins to factor into the equation. You REALLY think MSU is worried about our future at the cornerback position?
Meanwhile you pin hopes and dreams on a true freshman that's played under a half, will have to carry the load this year as your 3rd corner, and has literally nothing behind him on the depth chart. Kailo leggo...

But you literally just said that the problem with the Ole Mis fan base is that we have dumb expectations. Which is it?
