Slightly disagree, because he is not the QB that we play in our system. NM is thriving right now because he has the absolute perfect OC/Head coach/system for his skillset.

His skillset...we didn't change him to fit our system. We recruited him because he was a top 3 QB and top 10ish player in America as a QB. He was always a pro-style QB, he just happened to have some scrambling ability as well.

I'd guess upwards of 80% of the runs DJ had in his career were scrambling/getting away from pressure. We had very, very few designed run plays that we actually ran with DJ.

DJ and Coach Craig are better comparisons. Coach Craig ran when he had to but was a drop pback passer.
