I don't think Alabama could have pulled in any respectable HC in 2003. I know it's hard for some people to remember but that program was in shambles and the laughing stock of the SEC.

2005 - with Mike Shula none the less Alabama pulled off a 10-2 season.
2003- last year of post season ban went 4-9
2004 - went 6-6 lost bowl game.
