It's called a home and home...many teams do these...we hosted them in 2007
I'm looking at the 2008 schedules to now and Auburn has played at WVU, at Clemson, and now at Kansas State
In that time, Bama has played at Penn State and that's it for OOC away games, as well as canceling home-and-homes with Michigan State and Georgia Tech
the real question should be why won't Alabama schedule home-and-homes?

Bama also played at Duke. So Auburn has played exactly one more OOC opponent on the road than Bama in the time period.
Regardless, this was not a criticism. I genuinely wanted to know why KSU. Usually you travel to play someone that helps recruting, a la Clemson and not to a recruiting backwater like Kansas.

Alabama gets chosen for marquee kick off classic type events. Auburn has never been thought about for that type stuff.
