False. The community took that word and turned it in to a term of endearment. Sure, people still use it the racist way, but more and more kids are growing up without the n-word being nasty but something else completely, and I think that's the greater good.

A term of endearment? Are you serious? The greater good would be to educate the younger generation on why they shouldn't use it... Instead, you're saying look past all the hatred the word has caused and flip it to use it as a term of endearment...wow.
