Yeah I have a G23 and spend $15 on a box of ammo. Probably shoot a box a week.

Anyone that thinks that the university just up and canceled class because of some bathroom graffiti isn't looking at the whole picture.
It isn't the threat that got to the administration - if you'll notice, the university makes sure to mention that the police don't believe there's any serious danger at every point they can.
What got to them was the firestorm over the story spreading so fast. Parents were so up in arms about the possibility of having class today despite the threatened shooting that Dr. Gogue would have been burned at the stake had they not canceled class. This was a matter of financial security and nothing more.
