You basically cherry picked that post.

No I did not. I addressed all the major points you brought up in that post.

Like I said, not all of those guys have missed much time, and they haven't been out at the same time. Some of them just got hurt this week. The Blues haven't been playing well for the last 20 games. There was another drop off 15 games ago, and we've seen yet another drop here in the last two weeks.

Wrong. I also forgot Steen and Jackman also missed some time during this losing streak.

Sobotka was out months ago, but he came back before this slide really started.

Wrong again, see above link.

quote:

Tarasenko's the only guy during this skid that has missed extended time.

Whats extended time during a 7 game losing streak man? Look at the injuries Haha. Come on brother. Stop it.

quote:

What's funny is you're the one that is trying to make things sound different to fit a 'narrative'. I'm the one trying to explain what actually has happened. Saying not a team can withstand 6 out of the top 9 forwards being out is very misleading.

Really? This team was a presidents trophy contender until the doors came off because of injuries. You are the one trying to spin this as "see I told you" and downplaying the injury angle.

I linked the injury roster, the Blues beat writers, national pundits etc all agree that the team is in a tailspin and the catalyst for that tailspin is insurmountable injuries.

Yeah, you're not getting it.

The Blues have first liners, but they don't have any elite forwards.

Steen, Backes, Tarasenko, Schwartz kind of guys are definitely first line players but they're not in the same echelon as the Crosby, Malkin, Kane, Kopitar, Sharp, Datsyuk, type players. Each contender has at least 2 of these type of guys up front, but not the Blues.

No, I "get it" just fine.

I often look into the rafters and wonder where all the banners are when the Blues had "elite" forwards in shanahan Oates Hull Gretzky Federko.....

Also, you may not think so but there isnt a team in the NHL that wouldnt take Backes and Steen and slap them on their first line. Backes is considered an "elite" power forward.

Dont know man. Im not trying to pick a fight with you but its a little irritating that you are trying to spin this stuff.

You're being kind of retarded right now.

You didn't comprehend anything in a fair or rational way, and you don't get what is being said about the different between a first liner and a truly elite player.

I just poured a Tank 7 and I'm going to watch this storm roll in.
