have been telling people all year the Blues are a regular season team and this would all come crashing down at the end. It sucks because now the injury thing is going to be used as an excuse
Haha, what a joke. It is the injury thing. Sorry brother, you are not some Nostradamus. Trying to spin this is weird man.

6 of the top 9? That's not accurate
Beglund,Oshie,Backes,Sobotka,Tarasenko,Morrow,Roy.
All missed games or are still out during the losing streak
Oh, its accurate, it might not fit your narrative but its definitely accurate.

And signs of this slide have been going on for awhile, before the injury list grew to where it is right now.
Really, when was that?
quote:
The Blues have zero A+ forwards. They're like a rotation with no ace, just as most World Series contenders have co aces, true contenders for the cup have at least 2 elite world class players. Think Crosby, Malkin. Kane, Toews. Kopitar, Carter. Ect. The Blues don't even have one, let alone 2+ like all the other true contenders.
Im not sure I would call all the Blues forwards "2nd line talents" again, it seems your are just shaping things to fit your narrative.

You basically cherry picked that post.
Like I said, not all of those guys have missed much time, and they haven't been out at the same time. Some of them just got hurt this week. The Blues haven't been playing well for the last 20 games. There was another drop off 15 games ago, and we've seen yet another drop here in the last two weeks.
Sobotka was out months ago, but he came back before this slide really started.
Tarasenko's the only guy during this skid that has missed extended time.
The amount of guys out right now are definitely contributing to the way the last 5 games have gone, but things were not going great before that. And maybe ponder for a second the notion that maybe the burnout effect has contributed to the late season injury bug.
What's funny is you're the one that is trying to make things sound different to fit a 'narrative'. I'm the one trying to explain what actually has happened. Saying not a team can withstand 6 out of the top 9 forwards being out is very misleading.
Yeah, you're not getting it.
The Blues have first liners, but they don't have any elite forwards.
Steen, Backes, Tarasenko, Schwartz kind of guys are definitely first line players but they're not in the same echelon as the Crosby, Malkin, Kane, Kopitar, Sharp, Datsyuk, type players. Each contender has at least 2 of these type of guys up front, but not the Blues.
