I don't blame you. When it comes to post-season play there's an institutional advantage that often happens (MSU wouldn't have had the same institutional advantage UCONN does). Those teams who've been there before and who've won it all before are stronger in post-season play. UK's current team is a perfect example of this as both the institution and the coach know exactly what it takes to win in the post-season. The LVs under Summitt were another.

A good rule of thumb is regardless of how you think your team matches up with an opponent (roster to roster and style wise) those opponents players - add points to how you view the strength of any team with institutional advantages.

Great season but a #1 overall seed shouldn't lose by 8 to anyone, let alone a 7 seed.
