Looking back at the 16 year history of the BCS I see 4-5 years I think two SEC teams might have gotten in.
That's only like 25% of the time.
If there's ANY other viable team, they'll go over a 2nd team.
That's true not only of the SEC but also any other conference.
That's one reason there's a committee rather than strict ranking criteria, to prevent some sort of 3 teams from the SEC going one year scenario.
The vast majority of the time it will be the top 4 conference champions playing each other, which will be fine.
That's only like 25% of the time.
