I was also surprised to read that about them lining up Seals-Jones on the inside and Noil on the outside, on the same side of the field.

I just always assumed Noil was seen as a slot receiver since we seem to prefer taller outside receivers. But maybe they are seeing him more as a deep threat, and want to get a big target in the middle of the field.

They could just be experimenting with various alignments, trying to figure out what works best on the field. Not having Evans over there on the right sideline anymore, I guess we are looking at trying some different things in the passing game.

Yeah that's what I assumed as well but I think back to the role Patrick Edwards had at UH too. He was like 5 9 180 lbs and just torched people down the sideline. If you're as fast as Speedy you can still stretch the field on the outside
