What would be your opinion if we fired Bianco and replaced him with Godwin?

I've heard rumors of this being a possibility. I would obviously like a bigger name hire like McDonnel, but if something like that was not in the cards how would you feel about the Godwin hire?

The players I've talked to have all had very good things to say about Cliff. Does anyone have any real knowledge of how he is as a recruiter?

sat with feBrees one game two years ago. IIRC, he has a buddy from where Cliff came from...had nothing but great things to say about him. Said he told him to give him 2-3 seasons and we'd be in love with the guy.
to be honest....I was having a hard time listening on account of me looking at his mustache wondering which 70's porn he stepped out of. Was really quite impressive...

Yea I had randomly met 2 of his former players at UCF and they raved about him and apparently all the players here now really like him. I think it would be awesome if he got the gig. I really think thats the deal - you dont pay him the money we are paying him and sign your current HC to a BS extention like we did unless there is something in the works for him to take over. JMO though.

What really stuck out to me is I've had some players tell me how much they like Godwin and how much they respect him, and then those same players turn around and talk about Bianco and how there isn't as much respect. One particular player told me that Bianco is "too stubborn and set in his ways, no matter what." Now this is basically the same shite we as fans have been saying for years, but hearing it from a player was really eye opening for me. If they feel that way then there's no coming back. I just hope the process is quick and relatively painless.

Brought in a top five class to UCF his last year there. Helluva recruiter with a lot of ties in Florida.

I want to hire a former pitching coach as a manager, unless we can get a Butch Thompson caliber assistant to come in.

If Godwin had full control of the offense in practice we would immediately improve. If we could switch Godwin and Bianco's job titles we would be in business.
