I understand having the threat of snapping the ball by being lined up before 10 seconds have elapsed, but if the offense is ready to go and snaps right at the 29 second mark, they will catch the defense subbing more often than not if they try it. One point of getting lined up and ready is to see how the defense lines up so they can call the play that will work best against it.
