it's clear-cut 1) Bama 2) UT to everyone except LSU fans. Look around

Although I still agree that it is 1. Bama and 2. UT, I will say that UT is losing ground quickly to that next tier of LSU, Florida, Auburn and Georgia. Particularly Florida with it's 90s and 00s runs and LSU with it's 00s run. It has been 15 years since Tennessee won a conference championship. 4 straight losing seasons. About .500 over the last 10 years, etc. This is starting to become a big drag on UT's historical ranking, not just a blip.

All of this while Florida and LSU have won multiple conference and national championships, Auburn has won multiple conference championships and a national champsionship, and even Georgia (who has also been seen as underachieving) has won multiple conference championships since UT.

15 years ago, UT had a solid hold on number 2 in most categories, including number of SEC titles. Georgia is now within 1 SEC title of UT. LSU is now within 2.

Basically, I still believe UT is number 2 but it is just barely at this point and the current trajectory says one or more teams will pass UT within a few short years.
