Seems(according to the radio host) that Miles has a history of not officially hiring his coaches during this period, due to an NCAA rule. If you are short a coach, the HC is allowing to make extra visits. Miles is a good closer and would rather make the visits himself then a new coach who might not know the recruits that well.

Maybe BB is going with this approach and has his man already, but wants to take advantage of being able to seal the deal with a few big recruits.

Yes the DC job is more important for recruits to know than OL coach but maybe the Closer can let slip who the new coach will be on recruiting trips?
