...Wow, from what he said, I think that they are going to go for him, if they don't get offered some kind of trade for 1st pick.

Was there ever any doubt?

McNair loves having Gamecocks on his team.

Sure, who wouldn't if you could get enough for it - say two first rounders and a couple of second or third rounders.

Or, you could trade the pick to Jacksonville who would move up to get the QB they want, ahead of Houston who also needs a QB ... depending upon if Houston thinks Jacksonville might go for a QB rather than a DE ... or you could trade the pick to Atlanta, if you don't think you need a DE like Clowney, when Atlanta desperately needs Clowney and if your Houston you might still have JFF waiting there at the 6th pick plus you pick up another couple of good picks from Atlanta.

You have to figure St Louis traded-up for a reason, and that was not to get a DE but more likely the top OL or WR out there, so for Houston, if they trade away the pick to someone not needing a DE, Clowney might still be around by the third pick because Cleveland is already stacked along the DLine and not really in need of a Clowney. Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Minnesota ... all three of them would jump on Clowney but no way is he still around by the 6th pick.

I have no doubt that McNair is dangling the possibility of a trade out there to Cleveland and Jacksonville. Remember, Cleveland has #4 and #26. If Houston makes the trade with Cleveland, and Clowney is still around at #4 which he could be ... then Houston stands a chance of getting JFF at #26 as well and talk about a coup.

Eta: Think about this. Is there a franchise QB out there to be had by Cleveland if they trade up to #1? If so, they have to pick #1 or else said franchise QB could go to Houston at #1 or Jacksonville at #3. The question is, is there a QB in this draft worth giving up two 1st round picks for?

I wonder why they removed the video. I'm assuming TMI.

wow, they did remove it. Basically he talked about the opportunity for them to get Clowney and that he believes JJ Watt could help keep Clowney focused and improving. He said he and JJ had already talked about it.
