He was not fired, his son is currently a walkon on the Auburn Team and Tubs was at the Iron Bowl pulling for Auburn. There are a lot of personal reasons why Tubs needed a year off. I know we paid him, but he could have stayed. Think about it, we hired Mr. 5-19 to take his place.

Interesting. I've never heard anything other than him being fired. Maybe I did read somewhere that he perhaps "resigned". Some of his own family say he was fired.
