Seems to be trending him coming to South Carolina and leaving FSU which would be a fantastic get for USC, big DT prospect

That would be great. I think he has work to do in the classroom and may be going to Prep after HS, but he's a great player and hopefully it all works out for him.

He's coming to the USC game this weekend. I think this is his 5th trip here this fall. I don't know if he'll flip, but if I was and FSU coach, I would be highly concerned about it since he's visiting us so frequently.

That would be a major, major, flip. Fingers crossed for that kid. I've seen him play, he's a big time talent.

I like how he's around that size that Ingram came in as. He could be a quick DT or a solid SDE. He's like Kelcy Griffen last year but a little bigger (taller).
Griffen by the way had a great game against Coastal. He's going to get in that 2 Deep rotation next year if Quarles leaves.

What I like about Wideman, and I've seen him play a half dozen times since he was in the 9th grade, is that his motor is always running - he's full go on every snap. He runs really well for a kid his size and he has natural skills.
There is a kid at Batesburg-Leesville who I've seen play a couple of dozen times since he was in the 7th grade named Terrance Williams. Kid was starting for the varsity in the 9th grade, he's a 10th grader now and plays for Jerry Brown who I have always thought was the best HS coach in the state since his Monk's Corner/Timberland days.
Remember that name, Terrance Williams. He's got a couple years to go at RB but the reason I brought his name up is because he juked Wideman out of his socks a couple of times over the last two years. Then, late in the game this year, Wideman tried to kill him on a tackle between the tackles.
Best game I saw Wideman play was against, I think it was Strom Thurmond and Lee Sawlyer's team, either last year or the year before, where he completely dominated. Saluda still lost, but you knew Wideman was going to be a big time prospect after watching that game. He's got a mean streak and everyone double or triple teamed him since ... but he still makes plays. I mean the kid can really run for his size. I could see him playing some DE at a D1 level, you're right.
