Maybe you should explain to him how speed can effect the ability to make a cell phone call?
As much as I've researched I've never once seen anyone take the stance that the plane speed prohibited the ability to make cell phone calls. Even Dr. Griffith, who's the most thorough and intelligent anti 911 author, has never talked about speed being a factor, he only addresses altitude.
So perhaps you could use your educational background and explain why speed is a factor?
