That 2004 Aaron Rodgers led Cal team would have been a sleeper pick in an 8 team playoff. Since then, they've had a lot of talent with no QB to make them nationally relevant.

What surprises me is that Cal is as difficult to get into as Stanford. Think of the limited recruiting pool.
