It sucks that there is just too much greed involved in the game now to cut down on teams and make Bowl qualifications stricter. We could do four 16-team conferences to have 64 teams - plenty for a grand amount of diversity. Then they could make Bowl qualifications be 8-4 or better and we would only see good teams and interesting matchups in the post-season.

"Western" Conference:

1. Washington
2. Oregon
3. Oregon State
4. Wyoming
5. Colorado
6. Utah
7. BYU
8. Air Force

9. California
10. USC
11. Stanford
12. Fresno State
13. UCLA
14. Arizona
15. Arizona State
16. UNLV

"Northern" Conference:

1. Nebraska
2. Kansas
3. Minnesota
4. Iowa
5. Wisconsin
6. Illinois
7. Indiana
8. Notre Dame

9. Purdue
10. Michigan
11. Michigan State
12. Ohio State
13. Cincinnati
14. Penn State
15. Pittsburgh
16. Syracuse

"Southern" Conference:

1. Texas
2. Texas A&M
3. SMU
4. TCU
5. Rice
6. Oklahoma
7. Oklahoma State
8. Arkansas

9. LSU
10. Ole Miss
11. Alabama
12. Auburn
13. Missouri
14. Kentucky
15. Louisville
16. Tennessee

"Eastern" Conference:

1. Georgia
2. Georgia Tech
3. Florida
4. Florida State
5. Miami
6. South Carolina
7. Clemson
8. Wake Forest

9. North Carolina
10. North Carolina State
11. Maryland
12. Navy
13. Army
14. Rutgers
15. Connecticut
16. Duke

Every one of those teams have won a NC in either football, basketball, or baseball with the exception of Air Force.
