So I bought the book Coach Wooden by Pat Williams a couple of months ago but havent had time to read it until recently. I must say IT IS AWESOME....

Holy Crap, I wish I could've met that guy. I havent been able to put it down. Have any of you guys ever read it?

I dont know if yall know anything about him or whatever but it teaches his '7 Point Creed' for life and its amazing. I'm gonna share a few of his "Woodenisms"

-'Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out'

-'The worst thing about new books is that they keep us from reading the old ones.'

-'Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.'

-'Discipline yourself and others wont need to.'

-'If you dont have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?'

-'You cant let praise or criticism get to you. Its a weakness to get caught up in either one.'

-'Much can be accomplished by teamwork when no one is concerned about who gets creidt.'

theres dozens more but those were some of my favorites. If you have time (and the interest) I suggest you reading this book. Its really good and helps put your life into some perspective.

okay, sorry to hijack the board for something off-topic..

Always enjoyed watching and reading stuff about him. Certainly one of the greatest sports figures of all time.

I'm not sure if you're being a smartass or not but send me your address and I will. It really is a fascinating read.

I agree completely but what is more amazing is what kind of 'man' he was. Just a great human being. We need more people like him in the world today and sadly he's no longer here
