I know I know... cue the music

Anyone have issues parking this past weekend? I had a great experience at the SEMO game. I parked at the middle school and rode a shuttle to campus and walked back after the game. It wasn't bad at all.

This weekend I drove around for a good 20-30 minutes trying to find a spot to park. I finally decided to park on the east side of Molly Barr Rd near the northwest corner of the lot of grass at the Activity Center. I was completely out of the road and parked behind other cars but I still got a ticket (along with several other cars in front and behind me). I'm just going to bite the bullet and pay the ticket although it frustrates the hell out of me.

Can someone that had a good experience parking this weekend provide some tips for the upcoming games? Where to park within reasonable walking distance after the game or has a shuttle that runs directly after the game? Is there a good time to get there to get a decent parking spot? Any super-secret parking areas I may not be aware of?

Any help would be appreciated!

We park at the Ford Center and everything went smoothly after the SEMO game. This weekend was a nightmare. We came out, planning to go down Old Taylor, but were stuck, not moving. The traffic guys were catching it and one came over and told us they were about to walk off the job. The traffic going down Old Taylor was supposed to flow one direction, but there was no parking attendant at the lot past the baseball field, so those folks went in both directions, causing the traffic to bottleneck. We had a friend staying with us who had to park by Abner's and he beat us home by 20 minutes. I hope they get it figured out before this weekend. Another problem the traffic guy mentioned was the line of limos parked in one lane in front of the Ford Center. That added to the stalled traffic.
