think it will end up being Nike or Adidas. Adidas is fighting hard to keep it. Nike wants it badly. Tennessee is in a good position from a leverage standpoint in my opinion.

What's so bad about adidas?

Nothing, if you're a soccer school.
For real thought, the 'cruits love Nike. I know it sounds dumb but equipment manufacturer does matter to some recruits.
I'll just be happy because 95% of Adidas fan apparel sucks arse.

Meh. The only reason a sponsor matters to a recruit is because the sponsors pay agents and runners to push high profile players to certain schools.
In this regard, moving to nike would probably hurt us in basketball. And have little to no effect on football.

That is the GOAT logo. AND Texas would have a hard time trying to copy it.

Crockett was the man, glad he was a Volunteer!
And I love that he has a firearm, the antigun people in this country would have a fit of rage if we would start using this logo again

I would prefer to have Nike but I don't really care either way

All signs point to UT moving closer and closer to a shift away from adidas; so much so that some head coaches on campus already have told recruits to expect the Vols to just do it when it comes to making a switch. Obviously, nothing is set --- and as we have previously reported adidas, Under Armour and Nike all find the Vols a desirable commodity. But the group with momentum isn't the Vols' current provider --- and for a welcome change, there does seem to be a "One Tennessee" approach as it pertains to this matter.
