Are there any plans to expand Sanford Stadium any time soon?

Is it even possible with the road up against the stadium?

They can't move the road because it is directly against a major railroad which is directly against one of the oldest and largest cemetaries in the state.
I can't spell cemetary. Someone help me out.

No

I doubt it. Seems like attendance is down all over the SEC. I saw a lot of empty seats for the North Texas game. It was frankly kinda shocking. I guess this perpetual crap economy is finally getting to SEC fans.

You're shocked that a game against North Texas at 12:20 with an 80% chance of rain had some empty seats?

It was thousands of empty seats not some.

They'd have to tear down chemistry and geology buildings.
I have no problem with that.

It was actually well-attended.
Some of the upper endzone got empty when the rain came pouring down.

I have never seen so many empty seats at Sanford. Tickets sold is not the same as actual attendance.
Student section my dear.
Regardless, the announced attendance was a sell out.

Thank you sir. My mother is a razorback from forest city, I was raised a razorback fan from that side of the family.
Razorbacks are awesome, and you sir, are fricking awesome too.

There's no way in hell they're going to do that. That's a horrible photoshop

The most obvious place to expand with seats that would still have a good view would be the West endzone (the bridge side). A lot of Dawg fans are against that since the open view through campus is beautiful and somewhat unique for a stadium Sanford's size.
Even though that opening does make the stadium slightly less noisy, I'd put myself in the keep the bridge view camp.

Isn't there some rough design of leaving a window and building a smaller upper deck above the bridge?

...home of Tevin Beanum, great future Razorback. We played the Colts when I was in junior high school. I tackled one of their running backs in the backfield and he said "Thank you, sir" for some reason. That was a polite bunch.

I didn't think it was too far off from the renderings posted on the SECR a few years back:
