I'm on the phone so I'm not gonna link the picture but anyone can follow Rebel Sports Biz on twitter and see our budget for this year. We are at 70.5 million and two particular numbers stick out. We spend almost 16.5 mil on coaching salaries and make a little over 15 mil in football ticket revenue. The program that I want us to get to is USCe. Their atheltic budget last year was 84 mil. Two big numbers that stand out for them is over 32 mil spend on coaches and 25 mil made in football tickets including their suites. They only spend 76 mil though. Why? Because they are in 121 million dollars worth of debt and that number is about to go up due to a new IPF. We spend just 5.5 million less a year on athletics than USCe and I bet half of that at least is spent less because of basketball. This "get the money first" process will pay huge dividends in the future. Once we build our NEZ and build it debt free, we will pass up a program that we have been trying to emulate

USCe is just one example. Mississippi State, UT-K...there are others in the red big-time due to borrowing money for facilities.
Say what you want about Pete Boone, but he kept us in a good spot financially. Of course, that was to the detriment of the athletic department's success, but still. Well done, Pete.

Pete just didn't care to spend any money.

Stan Sandroni: What happens if we don't get that 10 million Ross? Where would we go from there?
Bjork: We're gonna get the 10 million
