UT's AD Situation

After reading through the thread about Fulmer blasting Hamilton it made me wonder about the AD and what people's opinions are, because I have no fricking clue. I think everyone agrees that Hamilton was pure dog shite.
So, the question is: do you think that AD Hart is good or bad for the University? And do you think that UT is headed in the right direction? Why or why not?
Edit: If there is already a thread about this, I apologize. I didn't search beforehand.

Hart has been good for the university, IMO

Looked pretty inept during the coaching search and made the athletic department as a whole look laughable. He might've lucked into a good hire, but I wouldn't categorize him necessarily as good.
I do like that he has helped push forward the merger of both athletic departments though.

This is a good thread
As for an answer I don't have a problem with anything Hart has done so far but idk as much about the situation as a lot of others do

I wonder how much of that was due to the fan craze and media speculation just throwing names out. Obviously I am not sure how things went down...but I am not so sure all of the coaches that "turned us down" really had an offer. I don't think Butch was the first choice, but part of me thinks that Strong was the only one who turned down the job, and that did look bad.

Exactly, I was hoping to get some commentary from those who are more enlightened on the goings on of the AD.

He took a job that he could have been a career killer.
There's not many that would want to dive head first into that mess left over even if it is a promotion
Despite the inherited circumstances, if you don't succeed at UT with all the resources at your disposal then what are the chances you're given another shot at a big time school?
Guess he thought the risk was worth the reward. And the reward is being the AD that brought back UT back to prominence
