Yes it is....but his point was that you had the state to yourselves until around the 80s, and you had passed Georgia and Louisiana in the 40s and 50s in population, yet did nothing in the SEC until the 80s.

Of course, as someone above pointed out, a LOT of the population influx came from seniors retiring. I'm not entirely certain how you can answer this question. I mean, MOST major programs pull from all over the country, not just their own state. You can argue that Flordia competes with UGA, AU, UA, Miami, FSU as a whole for in state talent. On the other hand, UGA competes with all of those and SoCar and Tenn...
this is a lesson in futility to make somebody feel better about their own program.

The Texas A&M poster also made a legitimate point that THEY are the most underachieving. It all boils down to NOBODY is completely happy unless they win the Natty every year!
