I have no problem with anyone saying they don't think Cam will work at LSU because the NFL and college are different games but the stuff talking down his QB development or results as an NFL coordinator strikes me as ignorant, beyond the pale stupid, or just trolling.

Rivers backslid badly the last 2-3 seasons but how in the world that can be laid at the feet of Cameron is beyond me (when Cam was gone and Rivers had been playing like a top five NFL QB in the seasons before that).

Whatever your contrarian columnist wrote about the Flacco and Cameron relationship is fine. He's an outlier opinion based on the majority of what people from Baltimore including Flacco and Harbaugh have said. Hell, even if you throw out Flacco's development as irrelevant (and you ignore that the Baltimore offense scored more points per game prior to Cam leaving the team) you should still acknowledge the success he had with San Diego with Brees and Rivers development. Before that in Indiana he developed Randel El into an outstanding college QB (seriously, go back and look at his seasons on a lousy Indiana team, he was incredibly productive). Before that he made Gus Frerotte into a pro bowl QB in D.C.

Maybe Cam doesn't work out at LSU because he can't make his offense simple enough for college players who are fresh from high school offenses and only have a limited amount of time to study the playbook and game film. But you have to be optimistic if you're a LSU fan and a little worried if you're a competitor

Hey...I gave you the stats on Flacco and how he stacked up against other NFL QBs. YOU decide how much Cameron developed him.

As for Rivers....if a player is fully developed, a truly great QB, then he rarely "backslides" to that degree. Rivers has always thrown a lot of Interceptions. And please, please, PLEASE don't try to compare Rivers to Favre. They don't belong in the same breath. Do you HONESTLY believe Rivers is an elite QB? The scouts thought he would be when he was drafted out of college.

Hey...the quote came from Baltimore Raven Insiders, not a columnist. You seriously want to go by what Harbaugh said publicly? When is the last time you have heard a head coach bad mouth a coordinator publicly after firing them?

Have you even LOOKED at Drew Brees statistics while he was with San Diego? He was an average QB AT BEST in SD. He didn't develop until he went to New Orleans. Look it up, then tell me Cameron developed Brees into the QB he is today.

I hope he works out for you guys, but you give him a WHOLE lot more credit for developing Drew Brees than he deserves, and if you are proud of his developing two other mediocre QBs, then have at it. Face it. He was hired at LSU because he was BFF with Miles.

He was the Head Coach at Indiana...and did you check out his record at Indiana?

As for Frerrotte....really? He is your idea of a great QB? Besides...Cameron was gone when Frerotte was chosen to the Pro Bowl. not only that, Frerotte's BEST year under Cameron was 1996 when he threw 12 TD and 11 INTS. VERY impressive. I hope he can do the same for Mettenberger.

Flacco averaged 20 TD a year under Cameron. Great development.

I gotta tell you, the more research I do on Cameron and his QB development, the less worried I am.
