Cool my partner. But this is a thread about the LSU "O" not the bama "D". I just referenced the LSU/bama game because bama is the best "D" going.

As for your comments aout the tide defense. It lost almost half it's starters. How can it be the same defense?

If the #3 and #4 CBs are so good why didn't they play defense VS LSU last year? Tide went the whole game and only played two CBs on "D".

It's a defense that returns 12 players that played defense VS LSU last year. Want to guess how many the LSU "D" returns that played "D" in that same game?

BUT LSU is the defense that LOST all it's talent.

As for your reference to the bama '11 "D". LSU went to tuscalossa and WON out there.

Mosley/DePriest? Back. Both played the most snaps at ILB.

Dickson/Hubbard? Back. Starters at Jack and Sam, plus Devall is back and got more and more PT as the year went on.

Ed Stinson, started last year, best DL statistically.

Pagan? Rotated with Square, most would agree he outperformed him at times and he has more natural talent.

Ivory? Rotated with Jesse, but a clear drop off.

Belue? Started all 14 games, got better late, had a good Spring, prime to make the second year in Saban's defense Secondary jump.

Fulton? Played in and out last year until he got hurt, was rather good when he played, especially in press.

Smith? From the A&M game on played Star, had PT late in games before that, but had 5 good games of Star play.

HaHa? Led team with 5 picks, started last year.

Sunseri? Started last year at different positions, won't play Star this year, which is where he kept getting abused at.

Perry? Was meh last year, but played in Dime and sometimes in other packages. Experienced Senior who has a good Spring.

It's not the same defense, no. But it returns a lot of experience everywhere, especially at LB and DB.

May have had something to do with us being in base MOST of the time and when we weren't Saban still had this silly notion that Sunseri belonged at Star. After that game is when Vinnie stopped playing Star a lot. Not that it matters, we won that game.

Couldn't care less quite frankly. The secondary of LSU returns a bit of experience, you have no true MLB that will play, and your DL will be extremely talented.

LSU lost :

Mingo
Montgomery
Logan
Downs
Edwards
Minter
Reid
Simon

Bama lost :

Dial
Jesse
Square
Nico
Lester
Milliner

You lost two more players. I may have forgot somebody.
