I realize that Nick speaks that way a lot, but he clearly hates defending the no huddle, hence his condemnation of it.

I wasn't offering an "acceptable excuse;" I was offering a reason. Dumbass. And, yes, explaining that your team took advantage of our mistakes is a way to demonstrate how the game was, indeed, closer than the score suggests.
